ARTIST STATEMENT: Born in Nantes, France in 1976 I now live in Brooklyn, New York and work as a painter. I studied art in the "Lycée Technique Auguste Renoir" (secondary school for vocational training) where I learned the basics of painting and drawing.
After earning my degree, I experimented with different materials and pigments before choosing the Walnut stain. This brown ink has become the primary medium used in my works. I use it on different supports including water color paper, canvas and cardboard.
The main themes in my works are beauty and originality of men and women of the world. My eyes are constantly seeking these magical instances which reveal the spirituality and aesthetic of human nature, as they are found in diverse areas ranging from the urban streets to ethnic forms.
After exhibiting my works in Paris, New York and Rome I continue to draw my inspiration from my travels and encounters on my journey…
