Marlene Weisman
Brooklyn, NY
Neighborhood: Gowanus

ARTIST STATEMENT: Marlene Weisman is a Brooklyn artist who has a passion for truly mixing media. Her collage/assemblage works combine painting, drawing, and mark-making with found printed paper and objects.

This exploration of traditional and unconventional materials correlates well to her statements about the ephemerality of everyday life, material culture, and the roles of women.
