ARTIST STATEMENT: I began studiing Photography as I was stationed in the 1st 509th Air Born in Vicenza, Italy, while I was in the U.S. Army. starting with a Yeshica Mat 124-twin reflex camera.
my instructor's name was Guytano. He taught me how to process film and prints. I went out and captured images of the Italian landscapes, cityscapes, architecture and of course portraits.
On my return to the United States, in 1980, I enrolled in Art/Photography degree program LaGuardia community college. I then transferred to Queens College and receive my BFA in fine arts and Photography.
As for my work, I have taken a interests in Nature over the past two years. so I've set out to capture extreme close up of insects, floral, birds of pray and the skies above.
I have developed five portfolio series.
