The convergence of urbanism and landscape is the foundation of my work; through the use of
photography-based research, I address the ideas of absence, romanticism, representation, and
authenticity of experience.
trasform in photography the elements in wich i can find signs of a sort of dispropotion between the human being, its expectation, its aspirations that become its necessities, and what it creates or in what it project itself.
My found object assemblage art represents a re-evaluation of the life cycle of outdated, rusty, or broken items in a throwaway society -- the transformation of which is a metaphor for personal renewal and boundless possibilities.
My paintings negotiate the duality and dichotomy of my existence as an Asian immigrant woman
in America. I paint still life of food symbolic of the imagery of desire for female body, surrounded
by transnational icons and patterns.
