The convergence of urbanism and landscape is the foundation of my work; through the use of
photography-based research, I address the ideas of absence, romanticism, representation, and
authenticity of experience.
As a documentary photographer and member of Kamoinge, Inc., an African-American photography
collective, I frequently travel to West Africa to document. My images, made in Ghana are of a
