Carrie Pollack
Brooklyn, NY
Neighborhood: Greenpoint

ARTIST STATEMENT: Perception is a very subtle and selective sense. What at first seems random, in time becomes familiar. What I might doubt at first slowly becomes something I believe. These shifts in consciousness are the terrain of my work. My choices are guided by a visceral response, by what stands out from the noise of the world. I try to consciously shift my attention to see unnoticed things and the relationships between them.
