Ridgewood, NY
Neighborhood: Bushwick

ARTIST STATEMENT: My work attempts to cultivate the gothic and surreal, creating a dreamlike landscape in which to dramatize an interior state of mind that occasionally reaches into reality. America is ever changing, breeding anxiety within the citizenship. It is particular that Americans will damp down the anxiety and replace it with optimism and blind faith, looking ahead into the distance for whatever is coming next. But this anxiety is yet below the surface, manifesting itself in various ways: a scary monster with the zipper down its back.
