ARTIST STATEMENT: As an experimental filmmaker, I focus the viewer upon navigations between intimacy and authority, witnessing and perception, hallucination and memory. I re-order anonymous authoritative directives through the editing techniques of sequence and collage. Inspired by the spirit of punk and feminism, by the surrealist objet trouvé and cut-up, I hope to disrupt and redirect the viewer to a new place where he or she feels free to invent his or her own truth. Ideally, this is a place where different narratives and repressed histories are suggested.
