ARTIST STATEMENT: My artwork is an examination of life cycles, old and new, of memory and creations. And it is the desire to give the viewer the experience of an intimate look at one small aspect of nature (contemplative attitude to simple objects, such as water, rain, grass, stones) as a separate entity that ultimately forms a connection with a lager universe. I hope that associative nature of my artwork leads to a certain mood or revealing the idea or intention of my work. As the presence of cultural and literary reminiscences that point to various times and peoples and allow to correlate the past with the present through different artistic styles. Also I have an interest to formal constructions typical of those styles, which goes to the influence of archaic symbols on the emergence of new artworks through myths and metaphors.
