ARTIST STATEMENT: Poetry and stories can't be designed with our brain but only "felt" with in our stomach. The myths walk through humanity speaking the ancestral language of symbols and flooding of value things and people around them. Some artifacts, fallen from the sky or produced by the great civilizations of the past, are studied for years in search of the meaning. This process gives the object a value that goes well beyond its aesthetic and design. What's the Holy Grail? How has it become a myth? Can you design a mystery? These questions are the core of my research project, aimed to investigate the mechanisms that give value to things, and focuses on the creation of a story through a combination of design and the planning of an event / performance / ritual. The work is designed by the ritual or intended to create a future narration. An object as the result of an event or as an activator of stories. In my work the media is simply a consequence; video, sculpture, installation, public art, photography, music, design, graphics are just tools. I am interested in creating works such as onions. Every single idea must have a lot of reading levels, layers of depth that drag one into the other, from aesthetics to the deep mystery. Like a stargate designed to attract the viewer into the work, in a small world in evolution or involution in which the moment of exposure is just a frame of its transformation.
