Aaron Kreiswirth
Brooklyn, NY
Neighborhood: Bushwick

Media:Photography;

ARTIST STATEMENT: The selections from Mt. St. Helens and Long Island reflect my passion for the shapes, forms and visual language of the natural world, while the urban landscape work is concerned with illusory spaces in the public domain. In this ongoing series there is a particular focus on urban environments in Russia and countries of the former Soviet Union. Whether a large trompe l'oeil construction veneer in Moscow or a glassed in Nativity scene in Kiev, I'm fascinated by everyday moments of visual misdirection and ambiguity.
