ARTIST RESUME:


Eliza was born in New York City in 1970. She attended The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and studied Fine Arts there from 1989 to 1991. She then continued to focus on painting and object making as a student at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam from 1991 to 1993. Eliza completed her studies in the South of France and holds a Masters in Fine Arts from l'Ecole d'Art d'Avignon (DNSEP avec les felicitations du jury 1997). She lived in France for 8 years, spending some time in Supports/Surfaces artist Jean-Pierre Pincemin's renovated water mill outside of Paris. Eliza returned to New York in the year 2000. Her work is included in many significant private collections.
