ARTIST STATEMENT: The compelling force of my work is the challenge it takes to embody the relations between processes that take place both in the micro and the macro cosmos; the intrinsic and the extrinsic universe, the inner and the outer worlds.
I found fascinating the mysterious processes of feeling, thinking and behavior that are developed in our entrails. At the same time, I found intriguing the way our surroundings affect us and the way we affect them, letting me know there is no such thing as a division point, that we are all the same, “a one”. I do not consider myself as the creator, but as a part of the organism; my work comes to life when me and my surroundings become a unity when we dance together and feel each other; the dust, the wind, the music, we are all one, all causality.
The objective of my work is to generate a suitable visual environment to embody the energy we all conform as a unity; my creative process involves the situational things affecting my drawings –dust, wind, falling hair and even irregular formations of handmade paper-, everything draws with me, everything is the creator, all of these together become the artist. When drawing I feel able to generate and awake a new lecture or sensation on what to pronounce from the mysterious, the obvious and the undefined interstice’s crossroads; the eternal and multi-dimensional force.
