Vincent J. Salas
Brooklyn, NY
Neighborhood: Flatbush

ARTIST STATEMENT: Vincent Salas is making a series of ritualistic puppets from found objects he collected over numerous years. In this way, the found objects take on an afterlife as artworks- 3 dimensional sculptures (a play with these puppets is forthcoming). Vincent transforms the world around him as an intelligent creator, reincarnating stuff, updating the world to a more interesting place with new subjects.
