ARTIST STATEMENT: Zoey Hart is a multimedia artist, educator, and collaborator living with chronic autoimmunity. She splits her time between her studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn and North Adams (Mass MoCA), MA. Combining traditional drawing techniques with alternative printmaking, meditation, and fiber-based installation, Hart’s work challenges perceptions of imperfection —environmental, social, and organic.
In addition to her own studio practice, Hart is the founder of SEE FEEL CREATE, a series of international art workshops and collaborations , and has worked as a teaching artist with The Studios at MASS MoCA, More Art (NYC), Project Art (NYC), IS183- Art School of the Berkshires, and The Art Studio NY. Hart also leads various workshops for groups and private students.
Hart received her MA in studio printmaking and international art education from NYU, Gallatin (2015), and previously studied Drawing and Printmaking at Brandeis University and Glasgow School of Art.
