Born in Oxford, England, in 1984 Safran-Hon grew up in Haifa, Israel. She received her BA Summa Cum Laude from Brandeis University, 2008, in Studio Art and Art History and an MFA from Yale University School of Art in 2010. Safran-Hon attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2012 and was an Art Omi resident in 2016. She received the Young Artist Award from the Hecht Museum, University of Haifa. Her work was featured in solo exhibitions at Slag Gallery, NYC and Brandt Gallery Amsterdam Holland and in group shows at Haifa Museum of Art, The Brooklyn Museum, Marianne Boesky Gallery, P.P.O.W Gallery and Asya Geisberg Gallery as well as at the non for profit NURTUREart and Momenta Art in Brooklyn. Her video/performance work was included in the festival Handheld History, at Queens Museum of Art, NY, and at Time After Time, Actions and Interactions, Southern Exposure, San Francisco, CA. Safran-Hon visual work reflects on the way in which political reality effects the every day. She lives and works in Brooklyn and is represented by Slag Gallery.
