My practice combines sculpture, digital media and installation. I often use video projection to activate surfaces both geometric and geological. Through diverse materials and digital interventions the work is both poetic and didactic, producing a cultural space between art, science and activism.
Through installations I engage in playful criticism of techno-consumerism with raw materials like plastic plants, collectible computers and decorative bamboo. In digital renderings I examine land transformation and anthropogenic change by juxtaposing the terrain of strip mines with the pristine surface of Mars. I also see poetry in the geological process. I create scans and renderings of features in the landscape as a way to share the beauty in the quotidian.
