CHiKA is a Japanese-born, New York-based New Media Artist. Creating minimalist geometric
shapes and visuals that explore in dark space and inviting people to reinvent themselves through
the relationship between objects and images.
Engineered ergonomic and kinetic sculptures that express a continuum of the body in movement
in space and time based on coordination and balance activated by the artist or professional
dancers in public performances or in photos and videos.
Clifford’s work investigates the intersection of aesthetics and violence; he is currently at work on a
group of large-scale drawings based on early 20th-century carnival shooting galleries using ink
and inlaid paper.
