My work consists of paintings, drawings and photographs reflective of the many places I've lived,
worked or visited in and around Brooklyn, its historic landscape and as well as the people I've
met, and continue to meet, along the way.
I am a multidisciplinary artist. I create site specific installations, sculptures, abstract paintings
and performance. I was born and grew up in Japan, moved to New York in 2000. Currently I work
in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
In my work I establish a sense of a place without being a specific location, by applying a myriad of
crisscrossing lines overlapping and juxtaposed with shapes that allude to topographic and ancient
hand made maps of cities.
