Drawing on the tradition of landscape painting and the sublime, I work toward a new kind of
landscape for the Anthropocene era, blurring the boundary between the organic and the
mechanical, with obsessively complex sculptures and paintings.
I am a sculptor who has worked in a number of mediums. Recently I have spanned the art and design worlds. Most of what I make is made from upholstery springs and bent poplar plywood, along with steel and other metals.
Sketchbook drawings, intuitively created, are at the core of my art practice. Mixed media works are inspired by ephemeral experiences such as sunlight reflection against flowing water and flocking birds traversing through the sky
