Memories are not crisp and clear. Only certain elements are focused, some may be glamorized
and embellished like a good story. The intersecting of reality and fiction is reflected through my
application of materials.
Crossan works in a layering process that consists of acrylic paint, oil pastels and charcoal. Each
layer is filled with anxieties of the everyday life of being an artist. The top layer seals the layers
with its larger color fields.
