My work is a mixture of elements. On the one hand it is a conversation with others working now and getting influences to respond to and on the other it is the traditional practice of just working with the materials.
My interdisciplinary practice explores natural systems of the body/its environment and how this is subjectively translated through our senses, employing a wide variety of techniques and materials ranging from X-rays to ice to paint.
My work considers the complexities of visual spatiality and materiality; my paintings oscillate between the physical and material space of the world and the pictorial and more subtly material 'space' of the painted surface.
