This body of work is a reconstruction of the energy resulting from the over saturation of media, both
visual and printed. It is a visual representation of the proliferation of media in contemporary society.
My practice is founded on the encounter, loss and distance, and the understanding of a new environment.
I sew as a way of both mending and marking. Mending what has been damaged or loss, and marking what is new and needs to be retained.
My drawings play with aleatory actions: fluctuating between control and abandon. While I spill, pour, inject, and tip, I also create situations in which my input is limited and conditions may unfold on their own.
