My work deals with alienation, gender politics and identity through a displaced female body. Acting as a transcendental device, the body is a tool in various mediums, such as performance and sculpture, video, installation and drawing.
Through the lens of her unfolding chronic autoimmunity, Hart's drawing/print-based multimedia
collage series depict and distort biological, environmental and social landscapes as interconnected
spaces to be questioned and explored.
My work deals with contemporary political issues such as consumerism, globalization and
international power relations through an examination of visual symbolic language such as
corporate logos, national flags, and product packaging.
My work ranges from sculptures to installations using hand-crafted works of fabric, ceramic,
photography, or video projections. My work uses everyday objects to form aesthetic connections
within history, memory,and personal experiences.
