My work deals with alienation, gender politics and identity through a displaced female body. Acting as a transcendental device, the body is a tool in various mediums, such as performance and sculpture, video, installation and drawing.
In this series of drawings I reference the body directly by using hair as the impetus for my forms. I
play with color, form and abstraction while exploring the hairs subjective properties as a cheap
commodity and personal signifier.

I am very geometrical with my approach. I love black and white because it is a direct display of the
design. No distractions what so ever. However, I also like a simple pop of color at certain moments
which can create emotion.
