My sculptural installations are architecturally as well as personally informed. Employing a
vocabulary shaped by minimalism and conceptual art, and using simple geometric forms and
Donald Groscost explores the natural world through the arena of memory and the subconscious
whereby a myriad of cultural references as disparate as animated films, childrenâ€™s books or visual
technologies often collide in a single form
I am a Filipina-Canadian multi-disciplinary artist interested in investigating relationships between
material impermanence and trans-cultural memory. I work in sculpture, installation, performance
and 2D works.
My work ranges from sculptures to installations using hand-crafted works of fabric, ceramic,
photography, or video projections. My work uses everyday objects to form aesthetic connections
within history, memory,and personal experiences.
